Cancun is the leading tourist destination in Mexico and one of the most important in the world. Downtown Cancun is located at 14 miles from the airport and only 1.5 miles from the first resort of the Hotel Zone. If you want to explore the everyday life of Mexicans, you should spend a day at least in downtown. It is easy to get there from the hotel zone by catching any bus. They all pass through Tulum Avenue, which is the main street. From there you can reach any of the local flea markets (Market 28 is one of the best) where you can find great souvenirs at a very competitive price. Don't forget to bargain, it is a tradition and it is expected from every visitors. Even the locals!!!
In downtown, you will find banks, money exchange, supermarkets (Sam's, Wal-Mart and Costco, plus several Mexican's one). You can also enjoy great food in Yaxchilan Avenue, which is located at less than 5 minutes walking from Tulum Avenue. From traditional Mexican food to Steak House or seafood, we are sure you will find the perfect dish.

Cancun Hotel Zone is where you will find what make Cancun so special. First is the incredible beach, more than 15 miles of white sand all along the Hotel Zone. Then the amazing hotels, competing between each other to offer the best service to the tourists. You will find several grand tourism resort and 5-star hotels which are simply astonishing from their luxury. Of course, most of them face the beautiful Caribbean Ocean and the rest face the Cancun's lagoon, which give their guests the chance to watch some of the most unbelievable sunsets.
Cancun Hotel Zone also is wildly recognized for its nightlife. Most of the clubs are in Punta Cancun. For the shopping lovers, there are several Mall, including Plaza Caracol, Plaza Kukulcan, Plaza Flamingo, Plaza Forum and Plaza La Isla, the newest one. IN term of restaurants, you will find from fast food to Japanese, Steak house to Seafood, Australian to French, Mexican to International food. You name it, Cancun has it! |
