To help you prepare your dream wedding ceremony, we have gathered all the documents you will need in Mexico to make this magical moment happen.
The only wedding officially recognized in Mexico and in most of the world is the Civil Wedding, which is registered in the Registro Civil in Mexico. After your ceremony, don't forget to apostil your wedding documents to make them valid in your country. |

Reservations for wedding dates must be made in advance. All required documents must be submitted two days before the wedding date at least.

Legal Requirements
Passport with the Tourist Card handed to you by the Inmigration Service.
Birth certificate (Original and ONE copy legally notarized and sealed)
The birth certificates must be translated into Spanish by a certified translator in Mexico.
Pre-nuptial blood tests must be done in Mexico and include the following:
RH Test
VDRL Test
HIV Test
Those tests must be realized no more than 15 days before the wedding.
Certified statement of health from a licensed Mexican Doctor.
Official divorce papers or death certificate (if applicable).
4 witnesses, including name, address, age, nationality, occupation, relationship, tourist card and a valid photo ID for each one. (2 copies of each documents)
